Medford Strikers is the home of players that view soccer as their favorite sport and have aspirations of playing college soccer and beyond.
Can you play other sports while playing with Medford Strikers?
Yes, you can play other sports, however, we ask that when there is a conflict you pick soccer over any other sport.
How much does it cost? What does it include?
Team fees vary between $1500 to $3000 based on the age group. Team fees include club registration, uniform, 44 team training session, tournaments, league play, mental toughness webinars, tactical analysis sessions, and winter training at Universal Soccer Academy.
How many times a week do the teams train?
Training is conducted 2 to 3 times per week based on the age group.
What leagues/tournaments do Medford strikers teams participate in?
Our teams ultimately end up playing in the National League EDP Conferences. Based on the level of the team we place each team in leagues and tournaments that will both challenge and develop the team. In 2021 our Academy level teams (u15 to U19) are competing in the top flights of EDP.
Does Medford Strikers have indoor facilities?
Yes, Medford Strikers has exclusive access to the Universal Soccer Academy facility the Champions Center. In the case of inclement weather, our teams move indoors and use the Champions center when needed to enhance the development of our players.
Who are the coaches?
One of the strengths of the club is the knowledge possessed by our coaching staff. Through extensive educational platforms that are provided by our technical director, our coaches provide an environment for our players that is rich in personal and team development.
Who is the Technical Director?
For over 20 years our club is under the direction of highly respected player development specialist James Galanis. James Galanis has an unmatched history of developing players that have gone on to play college soccer and professional soccer and has consistently developed teams that play in regional and national level competitions.
Where do teams train in the winter?
During the winter months, our teams transform their game through specialized training provided by having access to the Universal Soccer Academy, Champions Center. The goal of the winter training is to further improve each player individually and having access to the Champions Centre gives our players the opportunity to improve their skills, analyze game footage, build mental skills and gain a higher level of soccer-specific fitness.
Is there an actual training curriculum?
Yes, our club has a proven curriculum that has given our players the opportunity to gain state and regional, and national team selection in addition to playing in National League competitions. For ages 9 to 14, our curriculum focus is centered around individual development before moving to a performance-driven curriculum at Ages 15 to 19.
